I can't math.

I have an image of an old map that I want to print.

It's 8761 X 6833 pixels in size and about 60 MB, if that matters.

How large is the piece of paper that I need?

I want it big enough, but not so big that I go broke buying a frame.

Printed at 300 dots per inch that's 29.2" x 22.8". At 600 DPI that's 14.6" x 11.4". The resize functions in Paint Shop, Photo Shop can show you the pixel/dpi/inches measurements as you change any of them. The print panel usually has a scale feature that will fit the image to the printable area on the paper.

pixels / inches = DPI.

Pixels per inch (ppi) - A measurement of image resolution that defines the size an image will print. The higher the ppi value, the better quality print you will get--but only up to a point. 300ppi is generally considered the point of diminishing returns when it comes to ink jet printing of digital photos.
