Nov MMC Robots "Lock Jaw" WIP
One Robot is being designed on the fly. She started life in MOI (since I have the
program on my thumb drive and utilize it at work during lunch). I then put the parts
together in trueSpace and add smaller details like the gears, shafts etc. The face will
be added in workSpace using the "soft paintbrush" tool.
Another Robot in the scene will need head gear so I sketch out some ideas on paper first.

Re: Nov MMC Robots "Lock Jaw" WIP
Okay, this is more like what I was expecting. I got confused when I saw Nov MMC Robot Wars and now Nov MMC Robots. I guess it doesn't really matter but there is no way my robot would win in Robot Wars
Looks good so far Steinie.

Thanks tahnoak, I hope you join us too.
I applied some textures to the wheel and worked on
her robot eyes. Arms are in the works.

Nice work
I think I'd model the wheel rather than the texture.. but I enjoy makin work for myself

Re: Nov MMC Robots "Lock Jaw" WIP
I took Nigec's advise and added some geometry to the wheel.
Marcel and tahnoak you can make a funny robot too if you want.
My robot would be dog's meat against Nigec's robots.
Tahnoak's robot will be a mystery to me until I see more since I think it is a leg grabbing
robot!
Leonregis robot will be no match against mine because his so far is an invisible robot!

Based on the eyes, it looks like your robot spent some time with my robot

(BTW,your robot is looking REAL GOOD now!)
Marcel, that is a very cool vehicle but the man will never again be able to have babies.

Re: Nov MMC Robots "Lock Jaw" WIP
Well I worked on the textures, added the arms and worked on the lighting.
Next will be the robotic hands.
All work recently is using workSpace toolset and DX9c real-time rendering.
p.s. nobody got the "color wheel" joke...

Very interesting. I have a class whos task is to invent an invention. I will bring a cycle wheel and show the gyroforces and then this movie. Great!

Man Steinie, your mind works in a pleasantly wacky way. Another cool design.

Just a docking station to the Robot's ship. I probably should have done a DOF
render since the details are not important.
