Hi all .I was getting a bit pissed off with my ssd it shrunk down to20gig from 81gig for no reasen
i have not installed anything or changed anything ,day for day it got smaller and smaller
so i hunted the internet and found this.
http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/07/05/how-t ... -your-ssd/"
now my ssd has 84 gig free again .
My pc seems all ok after doing this everything is working how it should.
Why must we do this just so the ssd stays the same?
Cheers Ralph

Solid disks are IMO not that "solid" as sound :)

Many people reported problems with ssd disks most for a bad shutdown and restarts.. so my suggestion, don't put any important data on those disks at least until they solve those problems.. maybe in 1 or 2 years..

I have heard they tend to break quiker than a normal hd. mine has a 3 year warrenty on it .
As for booting it does it in about 20 secs and shut down in about the same ,till know no probs
but for the dissapering gigs but i think ive sorted that hopefuly.although i just checked it and hsve lost one gig
since yesterday  .
i have my apps on a 250 gig hd so when this ssd realy pi........ me off i think i will get 3 green 1tb zrx and set them up in raid job done.
i have 2 copies of win8 so i will just buy a cheep win xp and put win 8 on it.
