Don't tell them what they cannot do.

Post by Kenc3 »

I have learned that kids are not afraid to push buttons. There is always a way out (even if it is turning the computer off and restarting it.)
With this in mind, my 5 year old was watching me make a drop and drag 3D FPS game with another program. The same program just happened to be already installed on the computer I gave him when I bought my new one. I noticed he is now making 3D FPS games.
Today he was watching me try to understand Truespace. He wanted to try and so he put some items down and moved them around. Later he was putting hair on the man's head.
I am not going to tell him that this program is very difficult for me and discourage him.
He may be my next teacher.
I am installing Truespace on his computer for him today along with the video tutorials. :bananadrum: :superbanana: :superbanana:

I may not know much about TS, but I know a lot about kids and computers! Good for you and letting him "play" because at 5 years old, that's an incredible time for learning. Don't worry... you'll still be able to give him tips and hints... for a few months yet, anyway. ;)

Steinie....Someone left a message about you on the YouTube video I made..."Animation Enigma".
They seem to think you helped film "Batman" and that you are a very talented young man ! (LOL!!!)...he really must have you confused !
