I saw Marcel, Dan and others talking that is possible to render a copy of certain object in several places but the scene has just one object, so how it is possible? I just want to do a forest along the launch base, can we use that method in true particles so the forest looks more natural (using those parameters from Prodigy's tutorial to make grass)?
Thanks in Advance

Re: Copy Object in the render?
what you are talking about is called instancing of objects and sorry to say but truespace only supports instancing of materials.
If you need a free version of a render engine that does it Kerkythea supports it and if you spend money there is a whole lot of others like vue that do that.....
one of the main reasons why i use itis instancing see the whats next thread that splinters opened a few days ago.

Re: Copy Object in the render?
No real instances in TS. The best for a forest seem Vue. but you can use real trees then simple objects with map and alpha map behind. It depend of what you want to show. On Caligari forum i explain how to duplicate the robot. different method. The goal was to have a time to render very good to do animation. real instances in vue can do wonderfull thing but that need more time to render a good image with thousand trees. It depend too of your hardware...

Ah, I'll use alpha masks then.
