Re: SMC #57: Ground "vee-hickle". Snowcrawler MK2

Post by MikomDude »

Well after the little disaster with the car, I got bored of working on the SMC and without knowing it I made my next entry for the challenge. It's the Snowcrawler from a story I was writing a while back called "Arctic Adventures of the Snow Team". I made some simple models for the story and the Snowcrawler was my favorite, so I re-modeled it. Took about two/three and a half hour to make (breaks included).

EDIT
I continued on the model this morning when I fixed some details, I didn't change this image since it wouldn't be a speed-model then but here is the slightly updated version: vi ... 975#p21975"

Removed because it was "sick and twisted."

Probably wouldn't be included in the vote anyway, like the MMC. :)

Eh, I probably shouldn't mention this but people might get the wrong idea when they look at that last scene... Please correct me if I'm wrong and if you don't see what I mean, then it's probably just me (sick and twisted me...).

James, is your sick twisted vee-hickle wip still in the forum? Even if you don't want to enter it in the SMC I'm sure it is interesting.

Your omission from the last MMC was just a mistake I'm sure.

here is mine... Brawn mobile with muscle power

Construction: mouse wheel / treadmill type idea with guys running in the big wheel to drive the vee-hickle with brawn muscle power... guys on the ledge above the small side wheel turn wooden gears to turn the vee-hickle and passengers sit on the top platform, making turns to run the treadmill...

Background: vee-hickle is made of ultra light nano fiber scrap material left over after the collapse of an advanced civilization when power sources run out, forcing them to revert to ancient basic technology and mechanisms... ;)

Check my post for more close ups: vi ... f=6&t=2300

All done trueSpace 7.61b in about 2 hours...

Ps. Here is the wire shot, forgot about it...
