Feedbacks from running tS 6.6 on Linux openSUSE 12.3 64bit, Nvidia GT 220 graphic card

Hi there! I've been out for a while and meantime I've played with tS 6.6 on Linux. With some limitations, it works! Below there are the steps I've done; better one could be done, but nonetheless I do not wish abandon my favorite 3D modeler also there...

INSTALLATION:

Wine [Wine Is Not (an) Emulator] is assumed to be installed on the Linux machine one does run. Wine allows the Windows' programs to be loaded within Linux OSes by shipping the Windows' files written "ex novo" for such ambient.

Starting with tS 6.5, I've installed it by double clicking upon the setup icon; Wine automaticaly does execute it. Once installed inside a custom folder (named "truespace", of course) within the home partition, at first load all tS objects are flickering (window, toolbars, menu, etc) and the main tS window must be resized on screen to allow the flickering of the display the 3D engine (directX icon) of the menu-toolbar. While all is flickering it must be switched to choose the wireframe display option and in accomplishing such an operation all the flickering wanish. This is the main operation/limitation to be executed to work with tS 6.5 from start. For tS 6.6, I've overwrite all tS 6.5 files by the tS 6.6 update already installed on my Windows system and previously copied within a shared disk (USB keys are good too), being cautioned that before to copy it, the last tS 6.6 instance were unloaded with the wireframe option set up. Now, at the tS 6.6 first start, only the plugins were to be set up in the parts concerning the "old version" warns and (later) their serials if any.

Summing up, tS 6.6 works like as usual but in wireframe mode only; nor OpenGL nor DirectX. The rendering is displayed as usual though, and the antialiasing works fine (4x is good). The shaders are applied and displayed; their behaviour is the same for such option like on Windows' machines. "official" plugins works but Simbiont, being the Darktree itself that doesn't work at all (its shaders are not acknowledged when loaded, the program's interface works instead).

FURTHER LIMITATIONS:
- tS' window close only through its menu bar buttons/"exit" item and not through the graphic interface buttons;
- taskbar switching must be set to prevent the maximize mode (this is a Linux option for the interface windows) otherwise tS' menu is "pulsating" also in wireframe display. In this case do: drag the window, close tS and reopen it and re-enlarge the window at its maximum values allowed by the desktop.
- Changing the last memorized object library to load another, does crash tS. In this case a memorized object library must be switched from menu "File" -> "Load" -> "Library"

For now it's all. More issue if any (hope not) will be posted later.
