A plugin I found but I don't know how to use...

Post by tamtam »

I found iOptDetectors at the original TS store section of the site, and the link to the iOptDetectors site is the following: http://www.siprogs.sk/

It seems to be something able to be used with a webcam attached to your computer, and can also use other videos, and then, from what I read on the site, it seems that you can make animations in truespace using your models in TS you can animate them live and record the animation, and even add live footage to your TS scenes. I have downloaded it and all the videos that demonstrate how to use it. I haven't tried it yet, and was hoping the site would have documentation, but there is a forum, and as of now, I am not a member of that forum on the site I gave you the link to. It seems like it would be usefull, and I was hoping maybe some of you could download it, and use it on the worspace side (which I think it only runs on), and teach me what you've learned about how to use it with TS and of couse videos from a webcam. I still don't know much about using the LE on the Workspace, which I think it requires that to be used, so that is why i'm asking for help with this plugin.

Please help.

Thanks again everyone!

you know, I don't think anyone knows how to use that! I thought
it was work in progress. Vladimir, one of the trueSpace developers,
made that. Though I could be wrong. Maybe others have used it.

Anyone?

When you install the package , it should also put a iOptDetectors.pdf in your tS install directory which explains some details of the package contents and how to start using it.
I think that as each individual will use it for different purposes then it may be better to experiment with it .

there are some example setup scenes in some libraries that get installed alongside the individual objects.

The videos on the website give some ideas on how to use the objects as well.

This is all an extremely powerful cutting edge set of tools for interactive future development of interfaces and tools both web-based and trueServe-based. Vladimir appears to have broken through the major barriers successfully as far as making these conceptual tools a viable reality for us all, the only issue now is whether trueServe will be developed enough by the Community to use these tools effectively in not only the ways they have already been envisioned, but entirely new ways.... these particular tools are ripe with vast untapped potential.
