I'll bet it is humid there too. Dry desert heat good. Wet heat miserable. I lived in Phoenix, AZ in the old days when it was very dry and 113 was a typical summer day there. It was ok. I remember humid east Texas as little kid ... I joke that we are the only people who went to Phoenix to escape the heat.
