SciFi Challenge (Steinie)

Post by Steinie »

As you all know I love Sculptris and trueSpace so lets begin...
Started modeling the head of the Main Character. Of course after taking a screen shot I noticed that the texture
had been saved using a previous used title so I lost the paint job. Well my second attempt turned out even better.
Practice makes...bla bla bla

About time you entered this one. Since it calls for a character this your kind of thing!

I'll guess that he is a pirate.

Finis, you have a good eye! Yes he will be some sort of a Space Pirate.
I'm still working out the Scene in my head.

Finished modeling and painting the jacket in Sculptris. I decided to model the hands, legs/leg and feet/foot as separate objects
which will allow me to better posing options.

I want to learn Sculptris and/or Blender's sculpting tools (if any). I like the deform tool in Hexagon so some real sculpting would be great.

You even use Sculptris for non-organic objects. Interesting. I once tried out Zbrush for a more mechanical design... failed horribly.

I must say though, right now it looks like that gun fires balloon animals :D

One character completed.
I am attempting to merge old rustic with 60's scifi. I probably have been influenced with
the memory of my transistor radio. (or I can't model a backpack to save my life!) :o My first attempt using Sculptris
reminded me of a sack of potatoes. I went with this transistor radio instead, modeled simply in trueSpace.

This Challenge just isn't the same without our friend JamesMc, but I spit on your shoe anyways! hahahaha
Thanks Rayman and Mikomdude for reminding me that my stuff is so old I have barnacles and I shoot blanks. (my sex life exposed!)

Next character coming soon...

The Sculptris organic part of the ship modeled and textured. (Weird, it looks like pottery! :) )
Next either trueSpace model hard bodies for the ship or work on another character in Scupltris....hmmmm

Time for Grog...

Among the many great things about your pictures is the way you use color. Great picture!

Always the recognizable Steinie Style and great colors. Kind of claymation, kind of drawn cartoon. And the action poses. You put a lot of movement and action in still pictures.
