Simple Things, Beautiful Works...

Post by LeonRegis »

Hi

Post here your images about simple things like everyday stuff and things for sale... I don't consider me a Great artist and don't consider my art beautiful, but to open the topic I'll put that...

Model Time: About Two Hours... (I'm slow :| )
Renderer: Raycast, and I can't use Virtua Light in this scene appears a message (Check VirtuaLight Parameters), and I want to use YafaRay render, to use I click in the render of workspace or of the model side?

Nice start with your Star Bubble maker. Why not add a base and walls so you
can play with lights and shadows? How about creating a Star bubble too?

Thanks Steinie I'm building a table with pencils and other objects, when I finish I'll play with light... But about the star bubble I think that in normal render we can't get a good result, and I haven't V-ray so is difficult. :D

It's old, it's simple, and some might think it beautiful.

"nice jugs"...

They're pictures of pitchers, Steinie.

Extremely good, too. The textures suit them perfectly.

That's the Souvenir Chicken, made in ceramic and reality based, about 30 min to do all (Textures and Model), it's not beautiful but I'm posting here because is simple and I'll get together all these objects that I'm posting here and create the Messy Up Table, a mable or wood normal table with the Bubble Maker, that Chicken, a pen drive (The Next I'll create), pencils and pens, sound box, soda bottle, cup filled with soda, in the words, a really messy up table :D

Sadly I'm a bad 3D artist and make this chicken with a cube what took all volume and makes less realistic, sorry :geek:
Just to remember I'm too new I thing the younger member in this forum, I don't want to blame my age for the errors but need to take into account!

They're not symmetrical for a handmade appearance and have a ceramic-like texture (You can see if click on the image to see closer)

Thanks

PS: It's just a demo, I'll add ground and play with the lights later when I create that mentioned scene

Hi again

As I promise the next one simple creation gonna be a Pen Drive. It's highly detailed and I don't know but don't looks realistic I think is a problem with the texture, if anyone discover why post the tip to fix :D

Model Time: About 1:30 hours to model and texture
Render: Standard lightworks
History: Memo is a fictitious company that I create that produces Pen drives, HDs, RAM cards, CDs and DVDs. All about virtual memory. I know that almost everybody already made one and looks better than this, but here is my ;)

If it is reflective then it needs something to reflect. Otherwise I think the lighting is why it doesn't look realistic. If there's a material problem (with model side Lightworks materials) I'd guess it needs more diffuse reflection. I usually use diffuse settings in the high 90's and no luminosity for materials.

Thanks I'll try.
Do you think that a workside render could resolve this?
I'll post the new image if looks better

Looks very nice. Still, it could use some improvement - there are some weird lines in the corners and the largest flat surface (where the logo is) has some darker areas (artefacts from boolean operations?).
I like the logo and the fact that you added metal contacts inside the connector. Damn the polygons, full speed ahead! :)

I liked your crane, he looks a little complicated to do :D
Yeah the MEMO Pen Drive are not perfect and as you said some booleans operations make that strange tips, the lines I can't explain they just appeared there, I don't know how but in the first moment I liked because makes the texture of the plastic don't look spot...

Now I'm trying to do a optic fiber with YafaRay, but have so many polygons because are a lot of bent cylinders like a optic fiber and now I just need to add the texture which will do the magic ;)

Thanks

PS: You very detailed ! How do you know that inside the connector have metal?

Nice salon table 3dfrog, I'd liked! Principally the towel!
I bring a pen, it's a HD (High Detailed) I use this word to define models that not even showing some things they still there and may never be showed.
It's for SMC, almost done maybe some texture small upgrades and I post in SMC.
Model time: 1h 15 min
Texture: 3h of tests and ideas in mind to reach it
Renderer: Lightworks (20 min)
I loved the results (I'm seeing some progress in my models) Very Proud even with the speed that I use in it...
