Assault the Throne of Spring

Post by Storyteller »

It is Spring!
I come challenging you.

Create a Throne of Spring for your lord or lady.

You have until Beltane, May 1st 2014 to answer my call.

Come now and show the throne of your spring castle!

(If you are in the southern hemisphere and want to do the Throne of Autumn, well thats ok too)

Hey there! And.. just incase anyone missed it, welcome to the forums! I see you like having fun, and that's great!

We currently have a competition running, but soon finishes on the 25th! You can still enter, winners usually get to make the next competition as a prize. But making another is still worth the effort. I guess everyone is at liberty.

I am glad you are around to join in the fun, even make some. I hope to join in or see more of what you do.

But all in all, do check out the forums latest competition, we usually run it every 2 months now, as we seem to be pushing up the quality everytime. ;) So the regulars here like to chip in there often. Would be fun to have you in them also!

well, consider this a 'personal challenge' and not an 'official challenge' then :)

I don't have time from work for CG now but this ... I have do it.

Welcome Storyteller. This is a good theme! I look forward to you winning some U3DA GAC's and inventing challenge themes. There is a thread (here) for ideas for challenge themes too.

One month is traditional but people have been busy so some have been extended to let people finish entries. Sometimes the winner makes it a speed modeling challenge with a short duration and a limit of a few hours that a contestant can spend on one entry.

Do your own independent projects too. That used to be more popular (hint, hint, everyone).

Is this a "Game of Thrones" type challenge? I never watched the show so is that what the challenge is asking for?
The problem with throwing out a challenge while another is active is participation. Also the winner will now have to create a new challenge while yours is active. Maybe the winner of the latest Challenge will pass the wand to you?...
I'm glad you are participating. It keeps the Forum fresh and active.

What Steinie said. That is why we combined the Speed Modeling and the Monthly Modeling challenge: there were only enough participants for one challenge. Participation has dwindled with the demise of trueSpace. If the forum had many active members it would be different.

This theme gave me an idea which I will do as an independent project. "Challenges" in the sense of giving ideas to inspire projects can help increase participation outside of the GAC.

You can of course start your own challenges or whatever. There aren't a lot of rules here.
