I needed to obtain permission from the publishers and reproduce the book details below the image to show it (in case you are wondering!) With holidays approaching I am hoping to find time to go forward with my various WIPS currently in stasis -but at least it shows I am still using trueSpace.
The molecule above the cell is a representation of the molecular family I have been working on for most of my scientific career. As you can see by the labels this family of molecules is responsible for doing lots of important jobs in the cell and I have been very fortunate to be involved in the field from its modern beginnings...its based on a "sugar" called inositol. The "P" represent the phosphate groups. Due to the stereochemistry of the molecule each position around the ring is unique, so this means that from this backbone you can build up to theoretically 63 different structures more than 30 of which exist in nature, so far! (Doing science has never led me to doubt that there is a Designer behind it all, even if I am not convinced by the current Intelligent design debate!!)

) they tell me that they are moving away from using illustrations for covers -and so I guess the series format is changing to something without covers and everything will have the same style in the future 
. (So no further work for me there...). Inside the book there is only black and white illustrations as the publishers charge hundreds of dollars to the author if you include a colour illustration (so you really cannot judge a book by its cover
