As nigec said when I asked the same question for SMC 47, "Prodigy usually just enters for fun and doesn't want to be part of the vote". I hope I didn't make a mistake.

the pole runs until the 5th, then it usually takes about 48hrs for the winner to think of something new

The rules for this one:
Speed Model Challenge #48 - Shopping cart
DEADLINE : August 15th, 2009 (midnight - I mean 23:59:59.99)
VOTING: August 16 - 20
RULES:
1) Use any 3D software you choose (let's see the difference).
2) Create the model(s) within a 2 hour time limit.
3) You may enter as many times as you wish.
4) Your entry will also include a wireframe screen grab before SDS (subdivision) has been applied. This is included to help others learn modeling techniques.
5) Include time spent, software/version and render engine used with your submission.
6) Post one render per entry at 800 x 600 pixels
7) Render, Lighting, and Texturing are not included within the 2 hour time limit.
Now everyone please stand for the SMC anthem. Eternal glory to the SMC winners!
This one differed because any software was allowed, usually its just TS

We'll use the DMS (dream messaging service) to let you know. Just pray that the next topic is not nightmarish.leonregis wrote:But my timezone are different from others so if the challenge occurs when I'm sleeping?
Don't worry, you'll have plenty of time to enter and not just once. The SMC runs for a few weeks - most people are busy and it's not that easy to find the two-hour window for the SMC.
Now how did you know that? It tells me that "Poll runs till Tomorrow, 10:26".nigec wrote:the pole runs until the 5th...

Actually, I should have written this in the first post - you're right. The poll should run for five days. That's how I set it up. It's just messing with me.

Re: Voting - SMC #48
Well, we need two more votes to match SMC 47...
Also, I'm going to have to demand a recount because the ballots were confusing and someone ended up voting for my horrible 20 minutes cart.

Yeah, come on, people! I know I didn't enter in many SMCs and it may not be my place to say this but this contest is a good thing and should be kept alive.nigec wrote:surely its not that hard to click a check button!
