I updated the target weld script to be a little more like a tool than a command. Now when you press the button you enter target weld mode where you click the source vertex then the target vertex then do another pair and so on. Right click to exit target weld mode. The only thing missing is button highlighting to show that the mode is active. I couldn't figure that one out.

Awesome! It works great. Thanks a million.stan wrote:I can show you how to hilight a button when in use

Edit: website now has the new version 2.0.1 with button highlighting
Edit: version 2.0.2 slight cosmetic improvement since I copied Stan's code without thinking. Should have been "pe&tp..." not "polyh&tp...". Now the button is desaturated when not in point edit mode.

Re: Target Weld update
Sorry to resurrect an old thread...
I just grabbed the Target Weld off Clinton's site, double-clicked it to load it up in trueSpace, but nothing happened; there's no tool button anywhere that I can find. Any ideas?
I tried loading some of the other "install *.rsObj" plugins too, with the same results. The only one that's worked so far is the cubeWidget. (I have installed the Clintons3DPlugin.rsx file...)
Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Target Weld update
Sometimes you have to drag and drop it into the Link Editor window and install it from there.
Not familiar with this particular plugin so can't say for sure.

Re: Target Weld update
Are you using truespace 7.6 or 7.61?xenovore wrote:Sorry to resurrect an old thread...

Most of the scripts only work in 7.61

Re: Target Weld update
@spacekdet: Thanks for the tip, I'll try that.
@clintonman: 7.61
BTW, I've moved some tool buttons around and created some new toolbars; would that screw something up?

Re: Target Weld update
I don't think so and I just re-read your question. Spacekdet is right. Most of my scripts don't automatically install. You have to load into the link editor and run the installer from there.xenovore wrote:@spacekdet: Thanks for the tip, I'll try that.

Re: Target Weld update
Ok, I dropped one of them into the LE, and it showed up. Clicked the "install buttons..." button and it looks like it's good to go.
Thanks again everyone. And Clinton, extra thanks to you for creating these great add-ons. =)
