MachStudio Pro

Post by v3rd3 »

Since I now have Windows 7 I am installing Machstudio Pro to give it a try.

If anyone else is installing or has installed it please post here. If anyone else is interested I will post links to tuts/docs I find etc.

If you are interested and did not download the software before studiogpu closed let me know and I will post the cnet link.

Yes, I downloaded MachstudioPro2. I installed it with no problems! BUUUUT... My video card was not adequate enough. I am waiting till I upgrade my machine before trying MachstudioPro2 (hopefully will get a dual card with crossfire).

But I'll for sure contribute to this thread. haha, I'm sure everyone knows... I'm very interested in GPU based rendering, or "realtime" rendering.

There is a lot that is quite impressive about machstudio but the lack of hair could be a big issue.

I will post links to the tuts etc that I have found on the studiogpu site... I don't know how much longer they will be there. There is a 2.0 version of the user guide and tuts written for earlier releases.... more l8r

I don't own Max or Maya so how do I get an obj into MachStudio Pro? It seems to only handle GXB and GAB files.
It's native file format is MAB which is the whole enchilada.

Edit: I now noticed that MachStudio Pro can import FBX. Clintonman was working on an FBX Import/Export for trueSpace so.....
stay tuned
