After many years of practice and perseverance, tutorials, communities. Many many objects created, vases, flowers, spoons, cars, soldiers, etc.. Trying and trying again until reach the perfection, now that's the result:

You can see a huge difference between before and after, that's because practicing so keep practicing!!!
Of course exist a soft difference that images are made in TS 7.6 and the before in 3.2 but you can see a better modeling by my side :)

The most important tip: Continue Practicing and never give up!

It is now the time to see anything other than the items on your desk and do great things. :)

Yeah Marcel, this is a long process now my modeling skills are good and I can do almost anything what I want (Objects, weapons, cars, rooms, etc) of course I need to improve more, anyway now I'm passing to scene formats, instead making objects I will make whole complex scenes, then I will try some animation. So after all this things I will start some long date projects... I have some ideas

Thanks Marcel

Leon, you did those first few when you were 7 ????? That is remarkable. My nephew is almost 10, do you think that age is ok to start with ts?? Will he be able to figure out stuff? He wants to learn and I gave him cosmic blobs a couple of years ago, maybe time to give him real 3d software.

Your new stuff looks great.

Hi 3D Frog...
I started with TS when I was very young... My father was looking tools to create artworks (2D and 3D) then he found TS 3.2 downloaded the free version and starting messing up... He doesn't have much time to learn then he just stop, and say to me that if I want I could use, etc. I start using just doing balls jumping (with physics), crazy booleans (subtract it, add that and subtract it), I was learning very slow, but was fun! I loved the metaballs was funny messing up and doing objects with that, my first good creations is made with metaballs. 3.2 is very simple to understand so after 2 years (10 years old) I start developing good objects... I created I ''game'' I called it NASA 3000 (I love the space and start learning it when I was 6) the game uses what I call ''Manual System'' you tell me: I want to put my Space bus there, I put it make a subtraction of the money in a calculator and put the current money in the Notepad...

Then the demo of 6.6 appeared I got it and have a shock  :o why so many buttons??? How can I do what I do in the 3.2 version??? Well time pass the 7.6 become free in the start I used the 3.2 instead 7.0, then I talk with my self IT'S now or never and stop using the 3.2 and just using the 7.0 to see if I learn something in the first months nothing special then I given up... Some months ago I returned and now I'm much better!!! Thanks for all who helped me and the tutorials... When I returned I entered in the Caligari forums to rejoin the community and participate of the projects... Then I discovered that Truespace is dead  and then I discovered this community, from this point you know the history... XD

You can see some good arts made by me between 9 and 11/12 years old here: vi ... ?f=6&t=489" by far my best is the X-Wing (I was not fictionalized in Star Wars but is a cool subject to make in TS).

My advice about your nephew is: Show to him Truespace as a toy and not a tool, because truespace is a fun thing (for me was and is :D ) then if he gets stuck or just don't want more you can show some good images to tell him that if he practices will be able to do that someday (When I see Caligari gallery it give me the wish to learn), if you see that he is evolving and can do some simple objects you could give him some funny goals.. I'm just uncertain about if you give him 7.x or 3.2 :| I really don't know, because 7.x is complicated but if he start learning it he could not pass through the adaptation process that I needed to pass... :? So it's a difficult choice I'll give you the responsibility...

Hope you get good results, any question about my learning process just ask to me.

Cya

Programmers should show their work to their children. The way children look at something new is very interesting to improve ergonomics. The main functions of software should be understandable by a child of 10 years and the more complex functions are discovered during the learning. As a lesson that becomes progressively more complex. It's more motivating to learn when we seem to master something from the beginning. is the reward before demotivation. I think workspace and modelside is incomprehensible (they think: why two soft in one?) for most new and young users if they never seen TS before.

I think i will give him just the workspace build. Switching between the two will just confuse him. Thanks for all the info. I want him to try but don't want him to think it is too hard and get discouraged. I will give him some lessons.

After Read Marcel's post I say to you... Truespace 3.2!!! :bananathumb:

Edit: Well if you choose just the workspace okay... anyway I think that 3.2 still the better for a start

leonregis - i LOVE the artwork you have shown! i think all of it is fantastic - i really do - even the most early work because your imagination shows through... :bananathumb:
early satellite is instantly recognizable, spaceship is funny - i like the paintbrushed areas - i can see it as an animated object roaming around those planets you created and the universe far beyond- happy faces leading the way - possibly the Chicken Souvenir characters you created could pilot the animated spaceship. if they were real objects, maybe 2 inches tall ceramic or plastic - i would buy them - they make me laugh and i do love to laugh. you added a very cool looking logo on the pen drives - is that your design too? the latest work is technically so much more advanced - you HAVE come a long way! you inspire me to keeping learning. i am at the blob stage of modeling - nothing to show for all the time learning but the growth that you have shown us here reminds me to keep working, studying, and playing in trueSpace. i know i will ALSO be able to eventually say "now my modeling skills are good and I can do almost anything what I want" just as you have said.
Thanks for the inspiration! :worship:

Thank you Patti,

This is the goal of the topic: One day you will be good!/Keep Practicing!/ Never Give Up.
I have designed all things of the MEMO pendrive, and the logo was really easy to create, just pick a font and then make that cut.
The chicken is cool too, I would like to have that...
My early models are too simplistic may it was a good thing, I lose that perception now I just can do realistic ones... Here is my last and best image, the reason of I won the SMC #49.

Many Thanks Patti, Keep Practicing!

leonregis - that is absolutely stunning! your work is inspiring me - thank you.
i am right now just starting the last chapter of jack edward's workspace organics tutorial. :bananatyping: i will be sorry when i am finished. the 2 sds chapters have taught me so much this morning - edge loops and all about 5 pole and 3 pole creation and when they are good and when they should be avoided. amazing how it all fits together! i wish i would have gone through this tutorial earlier - i was busy just fooling around - although fooling around in trueSpace was worthwhile too. now, thanks to the tutorial, i feel much more confidant and ready to try some actual modeling of objects and characters. i have some simple ideas that i can't wait to get started on. and, as i have learned this week, i will ASK for help if i get stuck. the forum members have years of experience and can answer just about anything! :bananahi: (of course i will try a SEARCH first... ;) yes!)
