Butterpaw sends Froo a Wacom Graphics Tablet!
I want to tell all you folks how wonderfully Generous my good friend Butterpaw (Jeannette Lebouf-Kassam) is. When she found out that I was looking to purchase a graphics tablet she offered to send me her CTE-440 graphics tablet. It arrived by Fed Ex yesterday and I plugged it in very late last night (when I finally got home) and worked instantly! WooHoo!
Thank you so much for your abundant generosity Butterpaw! You are Pure Gold! HUGZ!!!

Yeah definitely!
Say, in Sculptris, if I try to use the options for Size and Strength based on tablet pressure (forgot the term), it does not seem to work. If I have the Size set to 70%, then the size is Always 70%. It does not vary. This is the CTE-440 Wacom tablet.
Any ideas folks?
thanks!
Froo

If you select the "options" button is "size pressure" and "strength pressure" selected?

Hey Steinie.
Yes, they are.
When I hover over the object (the sphere I am editing), the ring indicating the size never changes as I apply pressure.

Re: Butterpaw sends Froo a Wacom Graphics Tablet!
I think Marcel mentioned this before.
When you select "size" you are setting the maximum size of your brush when using full pressure.
If you lightly draw against the tablet with "Detail" set high (hold space bar and move detail to top of ring)or(move detail slider to the far right at top of screen)
you should be drawing a very fine line. As you apply pressure on the tablet the diameter of the effected area should grow up to the size of the ring you set using "Size"
The ring does not change size as you apply more pressure because it is showing the user the max brush size effected and selected. If you want a larger brush at full pressure you need to enlarge the ring size.

Froo...are you actually using your graphics tablet in Truespace?
If so, how does it do?
If not, what program do you use it in?
thanks,Jeff

I used my tablet in TS, but when I dragged outside of the workspace window it would eternally spin crazily. But I noticed the same error in Gimp, another program I used the tablet with extensively. I also missed the middle mouse button often.... I find for 3D software, other than sculpting and painting software, is not as easy as with a mouse.
