Oct. Challenge BEER! ---Discussion ---kind of

Post by Steinie »

This is where we discuss the Challenge,
loss of job, global warming, insects, warp drive, why we sneeze, why Beer is a cure if you had a drink of antifreeze (I saw it on Fear the Walking Dead!)...

I hate mosquitoes! I think they are attracted to beer.

PS: I heard that originally the 'lime on beer bottle' idea came about to combat bugs landing since they are attracted to the sweet smell of fermentation.

Working on an entry. Probably not finish on time so I'll make something with what I have then.

Thinking about an entry.

I doubt I'll ever get to it.

Concepting in sculpting is probably not a good idea, but it's fun.

James, you are giving Steinie some competition in sculpting!

I entered a beer advertisement. Just followed the tutorial noted previously. Blender, cycles, paint shop.

Update 10-14-18 stopped bubbles from rising above foam, larger bubbles, rendered with 576 samples and denoise off, higher contrast, touch of post processing for clarity, camera closer.

Mosquitoes. Dragneye, I hear you. Extra long monsoon so there is water so mosquitoes. My house is full of them.

Thanks. Looks nice but I just followed a tutorial. I grovel humbly before James' originality and sculpting ability and any other entries using a contestant's own skill and imagination. Good luck that render noise made the foam look foamy.

Mr. James, are you going to finish your sculpt? I want to see that guy finished. Hopefully for a challenge entry but if time is an issue you could do it as a regular non-challenge project.

Probably won't finish it since it was a concept. Just fiddling with zbrush.
