"I still don't understand why Windows XP won't run Scupltris on my system? Has anyone else experienced run time errors themselves? Thanks, Leroy."

This was in my WIP thread so I re-posted here. I certainly want to see Sculptris working on your PC!

These are fixes I found for you so far...(written by others)

I found a lot of different reasons you might be having issues with Sculptris. Do you have an ATI graphics card?
Try to Update Drivers
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Try deleting the _restore.sc1 file in your Sculptris directory
The file may have some errors and may be loading at start, causing Sculptris to crash.
A fix for Scupltris Crash on ATI Radeon HD Graphic Cards
I know there has been several issues for Sculptris crashing on ATI graphics cards. When I first used Sculptris it worked fine but when I updated my ATI graphics card driver it starter to crash. After searching this site and the old forum I finally worked out the issue that I want to share.
Normally Sculptris will create a config.txt file within the Sculptris folder after its initial first startup. But if you had Scupltris crash on its initial first start up then it won't create the config.txt file.
Creating a config.txt file is important to fixing the problem so if you don't have one in your Scupltris folder then you have to make one yourself using Windows Notepad and call it "config.txt".
The config.txt would normally include the following text:-
version 3
log_enabled 1
window_width 1024
window_height 708
window_x -4
window_y -4
window_maximized 1
antialiasing_numsamples 0
enable_shaders 1
mt_maxthreads 0
mt_profiler 0
mt_varrays 0
mt_tesselate 1
mt_beautify 1
mt_draw 1
mt_culling 1
mt_normals 1
mt_edges 1

To fix the crash issue the following values must be changed:-
antialiasing_numsamples value of 0 must be changed to 1.
And maybe enable_shaders value of 1 needs to be changed to 0.
