Just Before Dawn

Post by tahnoak »

This project started off with just a single wall when I learned how to do Alpha masks to make the wall textures look a little dirty and it gradually evolved into what you see.

Not perfect by any means but I am happy with the final results.

Modeled in trueSpace
Rendered in Vue
A little post production done with GIMP

Vue can be an alternative of render engine for TS with the add of interesting background with trees and more. :)

Yup marcel it works great with Truespace !
Its as if it were made for it.....
You can also use stuff from Sketchup and Poser and whatever its like a melting pot...

I like the textures. Sounds like you put a lot of work into it. Over all looks good.

Thanks all.

Peter...yeah, the only problem I am having between tS and VUE is that any boolean objects that come over from trueSpace to VUE are all horked up, meaning that boolen is not there and the overall model does not come across cleanly. It is probably what I am doing but even when I do a simple cube and cut a hole in it for a window it is there in VUE but the face of the cube is a solid and is NOT boolean. I normally have to create my own cube in VUE and then do another boolean to match the one that should have been there from tS. Other than that, the render engine is a great alternative to trueSpace and the available atmosphere's make it well worth the investment.
