We're too stubborn to die!
I'm beginning to see the wisdom of Roman using an image of a dandelion for his 'farewell' message.
They spread far and wide and are darn near impossible to kill.

I noticed some new usage lately and I certainly hope other's will come to realize how intensely cool Truespace really is.... I can't really fathom using anything else. TS rocks! All other modelers pale in comparison.

Re: is T.S becoming popular?
I am not sure about TS becoming popular again but I will state my opinion on this.
I started out with TS 2 and worked up through 6.6 and then decided that I liked 4.3 the best.
I have learned other modeling programs such as Maya and Lightwave and for some reason I always come back to TS to do my preliminary modeling.
It is most likely because I feel comfortable using TS and it is very easy to create a base model quickly.
In my opinion TS rocks and always will.
I only wish that all modeling software used the same terminology as TS as this would make it much easier to go back and forth from one to another.

I suspect that the ending fate of tS has been matter of war amongst 3D software house corporations upon the most versatile 3D modeler on the rocks. tS is the only 3d modeler that can drive the user to set its interface both on icon and on text prompt. Done this after 6.6, it is has been destroyed; since others cannot achieve this. It solved one of the most widespread complaint raised by its detractors and as such it might be quit before someone could think around. Just 2 cent of personal madness enquiring.

You can set silo and Moi3d to do that too because you can use whatever symbol or textblock to go as a placeholder......

tS 7 gots downloaded four million times when i remember right. I wouldn`t really call it popular when there are now 20 people left who are still using it.

Re: is T.S becoming popular?
Well, 20 or so people on this forum. Not sure how many people actually use tS. I am pretty sure it's more than 20 in the world.
I don't think the number of forum members here is equivalent to the number of tS users.

Yeah, agreed. I think the more broader the WIP and finished artwork and advice becomes, more people would use this forum.

Well said Draise, that is why it is called United3dArtists and not TS3dArtist.

Re: is T.S becoming popular?
Still...It is heavily oriented towards Truespace any way you slice it. Maybe that's one of the reasons why new TS users have trouble locating the forum is perhaps the name being quite broad in scope. Type in 3D modeling forums usually yields a gazillion hits. Type in Truespace and this forum is in the top 10 results.jeffroig wrote:Well said Draise, that is why it is called United3dArtists and not TS3dArtist.
