Blender Tests (Particles, Hair, and rotation)

Post by Karthogen »

Been playing around in Blender to see what I could do and how quickly.

Qucik planet render with keyframed rotation.

Particle Test and fun:
I found the particle system easy to learn finding the texture to make the effect, very difficult to master

Quick first fire tests (Needs more Yello)

<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/AvIg2W_TVXU&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/AvIg2W_TVXU&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>

Quick test for smoke: (seems a little red)

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/rJLy4Ukd2L8&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/rJLy4Ukd2L8&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

And finally Hair (Sphere with hair spinning, took 2 minutes to setup and ended up looking like a pompom)

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/IEGxao1QEA4&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/IEGxao1QEA4&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I spent some time with fireworks also, Just changing the colors, and different halo options on the materials to get a feel for what the final material comes out like. But I didn't save any.
