The polygon count for Truespace is nice I suppose, but there's a slight problem, it only does "vertex count" and "polygon count"
If I want to know how many triangles an object has, how can I do it? because vertex count doesn't help, and polygon count doesn't either because my polgons could be quads and not tris.

Dont know of any tab in Truespace that shows it but you can use the free trial of Silo to do this even after it has expired
you can also use it to make fileconversions......
it even shows you where those tris are and where ngons.
Plus there is a tab where you can analyse the whole mesh and it shows you where poles are etc.
pretty cool even if you model in TS !

This tool looks like it might do what you need.

Thanks a lot for that, proves helpful, I have to go to "the dark side" to export those objects anyway, a more stable .x converter so it's costing me nothing extra
