To get lens flares use the tools marked in the picture.
-- The light must have lens flares enabled.
-- The lens flare button (right side of screen) must be enabled.
-- You must adjust the options for the flares.
The brightness of the light is important too. Bright lights will have more of the effect.
I think some types of lights don't do flares.
