Instance object?

Post by compPanda »

Only a simple question - was there ever a way to make an instance of an object in any of the versions of Truespace?
My question comes about the fact that UV unwrapping is hard. If I have two copies of an object I have to UV unwrap both. If you have a program that can make instances you only have to UV unwrap once... was there any solution to this problem?

I am having a hard time letting go of Truespace since I work much faster in that then in any other program but the UV unwrapping is a pain...

Ah yes, there is, it's called the Instantiator Script available here. This is only for the WS side, so UV unwrap still is not really an option - but you could try play around with it with the bridge and see how it fares!
