MMC September/October 2010 - The end times
The world is coming to an end, and there is chaos everywhere! What would our last days on Earth look like?
Some ideas: asteroid strike, alien invasion, drought, flood, disease, war, falling into a black hole, swallowed by the sun, technology going berserk, etc.
Same rules as before.
Deadline:
- The competition starts on September 18th, and ends on October 24th.
- Voting ends on October 30th.
- The winner is announced on November 1st.

Yeah! Great subject. We'll see a lot of creativity with this one.

Hello, I'm new to this forum but here is a small thing I created with sort of the same theme. It's not the best of my works but it is made with TrueSpace.

Very nice picture Mikondude! Reminds me of something from the end of Stanley Kubricks move "2001 A space oddesey" In some sense the end of the movie is the end of something old and the beginning of a new era.

Re: MMC September/October 2010 - The end times
Here is another entry, it shows five Flying Tanks hardly visible because of the mist and clouds, ready to lay waste wherever they go (and really spoil your morning).
Just thought this might fit the contest better than the other picture I posted.
All made in TrueSpace, the cloud layers where made in the Gimp, then added to TrueSpace.

Not finished yet on my side, could we add a few days if its okay with everybody? End of the week would be ideally GR8!

Re: MMC September/October 2010 - The end times
ok, here is mine... still need a lot of work though but the main idea is there...
wanted to build some huge hulking robot skeletons in the background but didn't get around to it so I made my giant roaming insect versions scoring the city ruins instead... still wanted to carve out some dark window frames but after cutting out the collapsed bits, trueSpace didn't want to allow me to cut out smaller squares for broken windows
will try and do that later on ....
