Raxx Softimage XSI Exporter for Battlezone II.
A kind gent named Raxx has helped in the development of a working XSI version 1 model exporter plugin for use with another modeling software called Anim8or. The current exporter script version supports exporting a single group of objects that is compatible with the Battlezone II Combat Commander game engine. Further script development is under way to add support for model part sub grouping which BZII requires for some game models. Perhaps, animation support will be added eventually by Raxx if I don't wear out his patience level. This announcement is provided as FYI for other 3D modelers in general as the XSI exporter might be useful for other applications that use this dated Softimage format. I've included a zip attachment of the current exporter as of 4-12-12 for anyone interested in Anim8or as a model creation tool to supplement modeling software like Caligari Truespace and other modeling applications. Cheers, Leroy.

You're welcome Draise. Raxx, may eventually update the exporter script to add support for true hiearchal sub grouping. Unfortunatley, Anim8or does not currently support animation export via 3rd party ASL export scripts. I found several export scripts one the Orbiter MSH and XML X3D, Torque DTS, and Sims RCT3...the search goes on....Leroy.Draise wrote:Thanks for this, seems like a great addition to Anim8tor!
PS: Most of the scripts are hosted on Anim8or's modeling forum under ASL Scripts Database.
