AVI crashes in 7.6
Ok, simply put - I cannot in any way shape or form render an AVI in my 7.6. The program says an exception occured. I tried all 3 renderers. I have an xps 720 dell and I am running windows ultimate. Is this a program glitch or am I doing something wrong? Anybody else experience this?

Re: AVI crashes in 7.6
This could be a codec issue.
What codec did you tried to render with ?
Does it crash in avi uncompressed mode also ?
As a rule, it is better to render in numbered stills rather than avi though : this way, you can generate any video file later in a video editor et choose the best compression solution. Also, if tS crashes on one frame, you don't loose all the animation ; and you can restart the animation rendering from the bad frame rather than from scratch...

Actually, it is crashing before it reaches the codec dialogue. I never get to pick a codec!

You are using model side right?
When does it crash? How far do you get in the dialog? Windows Vista Ultimate? How much memory on your system?
Try a test. Make a new scene with just a light and a cube with a plain color texture. Try to render that.
Try rendering to stills like Emmanuel said.

Re: AVI crashes in 7.6
Do try the model side option. I've never really had any problems creating AVI's this way.
