I finished this for the Carrara forum, no peeking.
Curious how other people would approach doing this. Show your design and modeling process. The key is to make the struts (whatever they are called) overlap and appear not be on the same plane.

Well I attempted this awhile back for "Spaceball X" but they didn't turn out
as good as yours.
