2011
Happy New Year to all and thank you for the funny topic (posted on off topic). No I'm not dead or captured by black men. I was traveling. Here is a video I made for my movie.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing froo. Kinda reminds me of Borat, when he was learning how to make a sarcastic remark.

Re: 2011
Marcel might have meant that, as in captured by tribesmen like Pygmies, cannibal stew pot, but it is probably a translation thing.
Marcel, no one means any disrespect to you, just friendly fun. "Captured by black men" is funny to English speakers since you probably meant "Men in black" (mysterious government agents). "Black men" means men of the race that comes from Africa.
Cool movie. Looks like Mars.

Re: 2011
it's crazy how the meaning of words change with only 2 letters in less. When you do not master a language, it makes the misunderstanding and unintentional humor. Yes i thought "men in black". But it might be black men in black.

Hey all, that's really funny. When I read marcels posting, I associated "not caught by the bogeyman", that's the meaning of <black man> in straight gr-translation, used for scaring german children. Though I also had in mind "Men in Black" (Super-Agents for ET-Immigration-Control). But I'd never had realized that this ever could be a defamatory statement in another language. This is very interesting & helpful for our www familarity. When I was a kid I thought that <the black man> is the one who's delivering coal for our kiln

Re: 2011
and now imagine chinese or korean which uses different intonation (accent) to say one word with other meaning! that is crazy! .... like you say "good morning gentlemen" and you get your ass kicked coz you were not successfull with the right tone and accidentaly said "piss off you bastards!" :D
anyway... you were on mars? what is it like? did it cost lot of money? :) .... nice vid.

@bitkar: we have low cost travel for Mars since 2065. sometime i return to the past to see this forum. It is interesting to see how people lived. English is so difficult to understand since everyone speaks Chinese.

Re: 2011
Ah ha! Marcel makes his great movies with trueSpace but it is trueSpace version 12! Not fair using future software. After Roman's clever plan to infiltrate and take over Microsoft succeeded he restarted development of TS and renamed MS to trueSoft. Relying on advice from U3D members and with trueSoft money for development TS became the leading software for pro's and amateurs.
