It is sad some months/years of renders are getting lost.

Maybe it is time to backup all the renders we can find on TheWayBack or Digivision.

I've just set up an archive folder and a webpage that allows to host all the renders you grab. The goal is to keep the gallery renders safe along with the names of the artists, so we could re-build a gallery later in a new website dedicated to trueSpace history.

If you want to help, choose a year and start collecting renders on your hard disks, then edit them to write the artist name on the render (on my first files I've used Verdana font at 9pt, no antialiasing ; you will find a template below). Then name the file with the year, followed by 3 digits. This will help to sort the gallery per year.

It's up to you !

There is a time i want to save the caligari gallery from the webarchive but it's huge task alone, , the problem to saving all these images, it's to keep the author name of the 3D image, also i have some 3D gallery from japanese trueSpace users on my HD.

We could set the artist name on the file name, like 2008-Marcel-Delord-001.jpg instead.

But it is good to have the artist name on the picture because it saves time at gallery building/edition, also, it allows for full frame gallery (no text next to each picture)

And with Photoshop's scripts, it is quite as fast to copy/paste the artist name over the picture.
