Some questions about ts 7.6 and 7.61

Post by Mick »

Is the 2 million poligon limit still present in version 7.61.
If yes, did anyone find a way to bypass it (also in version 7.6).
What are the main differences between these two versions and in what is version 7.61 better than the 7.6.
The latest version is a beta, so what are its bugs?
What are the main advantages of the unofficial updates?

I do not think trueSpace can go over the 2 million polygon limit, regardless of version.
(Roman has mentioned he was going to address that when trueSpace went 64 bit, but...)
Truespace cannot use more then 2 gigs of memory regardless of operating system.

trueSpace 7.61 Beta with Model/workSpace combo is my personal favorite. Also download trueBlue's update for it. (straightens out a ton of issues)

Marcel thinks the earlier version of trueSpace is better using the Model side. He has listed issues in the past with the Model Side but I cannot find them for you.

Thank you Steinie.
I was asking because I use version 7.6 and I never felt confident on switching
to 7.61 (for the fact that it is a beta).
However I think I'll try it out one these days. :D
