The video of the trees at the end was amazing.

I just like how Pixologic adds features but doesn't expect the original customers to pay more. They
create odd interfaces (like Caligari did) for the Artist who use it not the Techies who look at it. ZBrush is a product
with a pioneering spirit..... I can remember another...

to be honest, i'm not impressed.. i think TS workspace hair looks very similar to this tool and was made in 2007..

Also, imagine to export this to another 3d app.. i think its useless, maybe i'm wrong..

Zbrush is a sculpt software, you can make nice and detailed models but you have to export the mesh to other apps so i don't see the real exiting point of this zbrush video :?

Thanks for share it.. :)

DO not download this video like I did as you may find that you can't delete it after viewing. I logged off and on again but it still wouldn't delete. I rebooted and it still would not delete. I finally had to boot to safe mode to delete it. I think it has some kind of virus embedded.

Hi Prodigy, it could be good for exporting here the quote frome the makers of this.
FiberMesh will enable you to easily and quickly create hair and other fibers. FiberMesh will create a fully sculptable PolyMesh 3D object.
The FiberMesh density can range from few polygons to several millions of polygons and it may also be exported, just like any other PolyMesh3D.
When you are done shaping and sculpting, Best-Preview-Render (BPR) will help you put the final shine on your creations.

ts has hair yes so does modo carrera and blender poser, but can you get the model
out of those apps with hair, i dont think so.
i personly think this is cool but maybe only for stills, we wil see.

FHembree, i dont think they would have a virus in that vid .by now it has over 1000 clicks and no one else has
mentioned a prob.i think it is somthing else giving your pc hell.

In reply to the video having a virus, NO, NOTTA, DOESNT HAVE ONE.
You had what they call a locked file, this happens on rare occasions and can be fixed without booting into safe mode.
Simply hold down on the left shift key and continue to hold it down while deleting it, this will force the file to be deleted.
As for the video I found it interesting but not enough for me to want ZBrush as I prefer Argile for sculpting.
The tree growth is interesting but I have several scripts for Maya and Poser that will do tree growth and all for the same if not better result that you can export out if needed.
Pugman you are correct that you can not export out of Poser the hair, while it does appear in the list as a object it is actually a morph target.
Poser provides for the same sculpting of hair.

Augusto i dont think its useless.. it is very usefull and getting more usefull with every generation of boost in computing power....
Truespace workspace is becoming more and more useless that my take on this.....
If you have a little money left invest into ram power of your computer and 64 bit software that can handle large files....
With zbrush you can even make trees now that look unique and go into inctaning systems for low system requirement distibution..
