This is a captured photo from TS7.0 course video. Who knows how to open the Smaller Textures and ThinFilm toolbar in TS7.51 and TS7.61_b8 ? I have no found where they are?

Re: How to open the Smaller Textures and ThinFilm toolbar?
hi Hicks , that video as far as I remember was just a sort of short demonstration video and it didn't contain any resources for down-load, the image library shown was custom created one to show as an example how to use /create your own libraries of images that a user would create in other graphics programs and then import into a user lib in tS.
I did manage to find the library I used for the video and its attached here as a zip.
Extract it to your Rs Main Libraries folder or your custom library place and then you will be able to open it using the library browser.
this works ok for 761 b8 , not sure if it will be the same procedure in earlier versions of 7.xx to import it .
the bitmaps in it arent anything too special they are just used basically for the shader to process.
you can use them as you see fit for any purpose.
page with the video is found here : http://www.caligari.com/Products/trueSp ... videos.asp"
regards
Paul
edit : will try to find the modified shader as well -- end of edit.

Re: How to open the Smaller Textures and ThinFilm toolbar?
Thank you, I have downloaded and installed.
But I don't know how to use? I have no found the ThinFilm toolbar, where is it in the TS7.61_b8 ?
If without the ThinFilm toolbar, the Smaller Textures can also work?

yes the textures will work on anything that has a bitmap input area , but as I say they were just made for some dxshaders to process , so using them as straight textures, probably wouldnt yield much good results.
I found the shader , it is just basically a modified version of the one contained in the tS libraries.
to use it you can D+D it from win explorer onto an object , or into a library then apply it from there to your object.
If you want to have the floating panel , you can switch material editor to advanced , put a check in edit directly , use the picker on your object, when it shows in the stack you can press ctrl and drag the shader out of the stack and let it float.
if you look at the pdf Chapter 5 SURFACING - Workspace , it will give some additional info on the materials system and its use.
if you look at the pdf Chapter 2: User Interface , it will give some examples and understanding of the various aspects of the WS interface and panels , and should provide some valuable and useful reading.
if you look at the course here : http://www.caligari.com/products/trueSp ... undamental" , it also has some download resources you should be able to import and use as well.
thanks
Paul

Hi,
In the course video of TS7.0, there are many items in the red borders can't be found in TS7.61_b8, such as Shader-Mini-Maps, Shader-Mini, 16*16, and many items in the Materials panel. Can you upload the lack of the items in TS7.61_b8 ?

You can get all those on the same page as the course videos. Download the resources then use the library browser to import.Hicks wrote:Hi,
