I've, made a youtube account a while back... And i was thinking of posting finished art and animation on it.

Well, I made a vid. A While back (nothing to do with art) and got some subscribers and some views... I Really want to keep my vids up, so I was thinking about Doing a "Blender with Charlie" bit...
Where I make 15~ min shorts of me making some of my art.- they'll be like whole playlists of'm for each project i do (think less tutorial and more like bob Ross and let's play sort of deal).
Like right now I'm doing a Castle Town (will post sketches and concept art soon)... Based on a tutorial I've been following lately (dont worry it'll be original the town walls will be vaugely similar) I'm starting to feel fairly confident in the modeling... Still working on rendering though... But I'm learning this fairly quickly.

Anyways here's what I hope to accomplish-
--enterataining how-to sort of deal (I've played through a lot of good but monotone tutorials.)
--promote my art, and channel of course!!!
--get helpful tips from experienced viewers.
--promote this forum (I'd really to see more activity here, particularly with competitions)

What do you think? Should I hold off or what?

Well, it is called youtube for a reason.

Let it be 'you' and get feedback on what you want to see expressed from 'you' and how others view 'you' and what 'you' are currently working on.

Of course, expect the usual youtube trolls to come by and make disparaging remarks, but on occasion you'll get visitors with helpful remarks will stop by.

Probably the best way IMO is to have a blog with your youtube posts on it and get the blog in a network of other artists. That way, 'you' can get a better, more thorough feedback.

Of course, the response from here where 'you' can post your 'youtube' videos is always welcome and 'you' have a captive crowd, so to speak.

You haven't heard of trollkillers (actually saw that for a youtube account name) Their out there and nasty.
Their like anti-troll trolls... XD

I'm not great at it yet, so we'll see, but I'm seriously considering this though. It depends how quick I'm am, and I think I sound "good". I don't want to be monotone... Or 15 minutes wind up being way too short for me to cover anything significant.

My art videos is going to be in the work in progress thread for you guys to see anyways... Along with pictures - for those who just want to see the end.

I think it's a great idea. Go for it.
I would suggest to practice the routine so you not fumbling on tape. Builds confidence, for you and the viewer.
