At last I see the possibilities to participate in a challange.
I have a maybee more earthbound wiew on the subject.
My scenery for this bike are:
1. A future with no fossils energy but with a high technical level.
2. You have to realy on solarenergy or your own power.
3. The bike must have something common with our bikes. If you travel to the future you have to recognise it as a bike.
4. Materals used have to be possible to be reused because lack of raw materials.
5. It has to be comfortable to ride because it's the only transportation you have for your own.
6. A place for the things you bring with you from the work, shop and so an.
7. There is a lot of gadgets which you maybe will use: GPS with map, selfdriving bike which drives you home while reading the newspaper, knitting or some other activity, collison warning because it's a lot of bikes on the streets.
8. Safe equipment so you dont get hurt in a crash.
9. + other specifications you can post. I will be interested in realistic suggestions.
I have a problem. I want to have spoke wheels. How do I do it in the best way? Any suggestions?

create a spoke. use RadialArray. select the spoke. Click on the center of the wheel and choose the number you want. Useful to test and see with different number. There is different method to do the same thing. the best is to try the option. This tool can do a lot of thing as spiral and more: you can anim the object by keyframe with different value to create interesting effect.

I am not sure to understand your problem. you need to work with top view. It is better to control the direction.
I succeded at last. I got these spokes with using top wiew.
Now it's late and I will go to bed.
Thank you Marcel and god night!

Sorry that I stolen your idea. The idea of my solar cells are that they give energy to the bike and also give protection against rain. I'm curios about your solution of solar cells.
Here are my last development of my bike.

Tommy...absolutely wonderful work on the bike. I'm sure you already know this but just in case you don't, the tires are below the surface a little bit

This is my work of example of the future bicycle. I have a more earthbound aproach to the subject. I'm thinking of a vehicle used by the the common people which are used for races. I have added a small things like the steering of the front wheel.

I really like what you have so far. It is great to check this
thread out and see it develop. Cool classical bike design
I couldn't help but think of this song...
"...Watch that fringe and see how it flutters
When I drive them high steppin' strutters.
Nosey pokes'll peek thru' their shutters and their eyes will pop! "
Despite all you others excellent work with the futuristic bike race i will not give up.
I working on doing the scene more futuristic. I will ad streetlights and more litter on the streets. It's to clean. The windows needs more work also.
**********************************************************
It's now cold -5 C* and snowstorm outside. I doesn't know when it last happend. I were travelling home with the tram thrue the city with almost no people outside. Only white streets with snow and christmas lightning. Very beautiful. Maybee I will do this scene in the same way.

Did you remove the roof on the bikes?
I really like the blue light being cast in this scene.
The overall is looking splendid! The lights, the street, house, etc... As Steinie seems that you removed the roof, might because is night? Anyway, I just want to say that the headlight at the bike seems strange, I think that you would do it more detailed because is closer to the camera. Just a suggestion.
Keep the good work!

Very stylish bike. All the parts fit with the style. I like the buildings too.
The headlights don't look right to me either. They are too flat.

Great job Tommy...as you know the bike lights are too "flat" but I love the overall image. The neon lighting is great. How did you do that? I am sure there are tuts somewhere but I have not been able to find a good one for tS.

Have you tried putting the headlights into a housing?
I would place a floodlight on each bike and have them pointed forward.
Adjusting the floodlight intensity, hood opening (angle of beam) and color would add realism to the foreground.
Of course if you meant them to be reflectors I would try to show the two yellow reflectors as being
separate objects. A small black ring around each could work.
It is good how the street still has the old buildings but with new things. People do future scenes as if everything is new but really the old stuff is still there.
I like the single light appearance for the white light. It could is one big fluorescent bulb.
The flatness though ... Model side and Lightworks renderer: If I was doing this, with a big fluorescent or such, I would model a reflector housing and a tube for the bulb. I would use a cone/spot light to cast light forward from the bike, 2 or 3 point lights with high fall off rates to illuminate the reflector housing, and give the light tube luminance on its reflectance shader. Set the light tube to not cast or receive shadows.
Edit: I meant low fall off so the light's effective range is limited but now I think that might not be important. Also, the 3 local lights might be enough to cast light forward.

Thank you finis for your suggestion. I will try that and see what I can do. The last day for the contest are tomorrow and after tomorrow our family are spending our Christmas time at a place without internet so I have to post what I have done today.

Believe it or not there are places without internet!!! This is a good thing. You have to do rest from the wast information from internet.
We will spend our Christmas time at my wifes ancestors place there they have lived their life since 1700th century. No television, the mobile telephone doesn't work (we can use the mobile phone if we go to a hill nearby), we have to get the water outside, heat the house from the oven with a fire and also cock the meals on the fire. This is the living standard the most of the worlds people live in. I will be knitting, my wife reading a book and my son working with of programming with his computer (homework from school). There are electricity at the place.
