Here are the links at truespaceplugins.com for IK Handel's video tutorials on rigging in trueSpace.

Many thanks IK!

Hi froo,

I downloaded the first one and don't know what to do with it. It has the unfamiliar file name extension "7z" and I tried renaming it to "zip" but WinZip 11.1 can't open it. What do I need to extract the videos?

Best regards, First Light

Hi FirstLight.
You can download WinRar. WinRar is shareware; I use it and like it.

Just did a search; look like jZip is a free utility which may also unzip 7z files:

7zip is an open source tool you can download from sourceforge...I use it combined with winimp (which has been around for a long time) and can open anything.

Thanks froo and v3rd3.

I must confess some frustration at having to get another extraction tool. IMHO, only common compression formats should be used in public forums and websites---unless there is a really, really compelling reason otherwise (which I don't think is the case here). After all, Windows has had native support for zip files since XP.

I realize that you probably had nothing to do with this, froo. You're just kindly making training videos available that someone else created. So please don't take my "venting" personally. But it is ironic that using an obscure compression format contradicts the purpose of creating a training video---to help newcomers.

no prob first light. 7z format is new to me as well; I have not seen it before.
Maybe it's fairly new? Not sure. Granted, I don't use too many open source tools.
But hey, it's free, just like trueSpace right? :D So that's a good thing.

Yes, I downloaded them as is, and reposted them as-is, on the http://www.truespaceplugins.com" forum.
