The thing to look for is that the Daz Studio 4 is the pro version not just the normal freebie.

Well, I've tried Hexagon and Bryce so far and damn... Bryce can import trueSpace .scn files BRYCE CAN IMPORT TS .SCN FILES!!!! All my dreams have come true, I finally have the ability to import my scenes into a newer program. I'm feeling quite... something interesting right now, I can'¨t describe it so let me show it by these simple images:
First I was like:

Then I was like:

And finally I was like:

I'm going to have so much fun, I hope. See you guys in a couple of months, I got some programs to learn

I don't think they are going kaput - they have their content businessDraise wrote:WOAH! THANKS! WHAT A DEAL! I will definitely try the software out! Fantastic! I hope they aren't going kahput................ Sometimes free things have their price.....
you know....they sure got plenty of money out me for that!
This is something they used to do frequently - give the software
away for not much, and use it as a vehicle for their content
business.
They just got a new CEO, who is apparently trying something
different.

Oh that's a relief. I think I must have gotten traumatized with trueSpace and MachstudioPro2.

Re: Want Daz Studio 4, Bryce 7, & Hexagon 2.5 for free?
Daz had made some statements that they were cutting all freebies ... for a time there was zero free on the site.
Also, some had complained about bugs and fix delays etc.
I think a part of the reason for the release is to regain interest in their product that was lost over the holidays (there were a number of good price reductions for a variety of software) and to quell unrest.
The real win from where I sit is the new hexagon and the pro studio 4.

Just a heads-up that there are 40 to 50 free items total, including some usually expensive SDKs and toolkits, version 4 of the Victoria and Michael human models, and a big assortment of other stuff, some great, some okay, some useless without other software. View all products, sort by lowest price first, bingo.
