Minor and generally insignificant announcement

Post by W!ZARD »

Greetings fellow trueSpacers, trueSpaceys. trueSpacians and trueSpacoids

I'm pleased to announce the publication of a new album of my 3d Art at http://www.wizitch.com" .

Some of the images displayed have been seen before, there are also some new images made specifically for the launch of the new album. Almost all of the 31 images displayed feature trueSpace created content or were made totally in trueSpace.

Those of you who are familiar with my work will probably recognise some of the images however here at last they are displayed in a narrative context as illustrations for an ongoing storyline.

The story begins with The Chronicles of Inthandonia Part One which has been available to view at http://www.wizitch.com" for some months now, and continues in the new album, The Chronicles of Inthandonia Part Two.

As ever I'm always keen to hear what other's think so you can comment on each picture in the comment box provided or you can post your reactions here or even join our small and friendly group at the Wizitch Community Forums.

Please come along and take a look - hopefully you'll find something to like! If so please tell your friends.

The new 3d Art Albums can be accessed here

Thanks and all the best

Stephen

The story is there! Good! I knew much of your art was part of a story. Now I get to read it. Great looking site too.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look guys - and thanks for the kind words.

@Kurt - Yes - when I was a child in Kent, England I can recall watching the Sailing Barges moving up and down the Estuary of the Medway River. Chatham, where I was born was a Naval Base for a very long time and the local streets were often named with naval themes, Nelson, Napier, Cook, Trafalgar etc. The history of New Zealand is also heavily influenced by sailing ships - they've always fascinated me.

As a young teen when my mates were building Airfix war-planes I was building the Cutty Sark!

I hear ya, W!ZARD. Ships are indeed fascinating. Here in Brisbane at the Maritime Museum there's a replica of an 18th century "ship", somewhat similar to the ships that discovered Australia and those two little islands over there to the East.... :D

But it's a tiny little thing! When you see them you're amazed that men not only put to sea in them, but also travelled those vast distances to find places for us South Sea Poms to live in! :bananacheers:

I'll see if I can find a pic of the boat for you.

Hi Kurt - I didn't realise you were were in the West Island - :D . Good to see the Southern Hemisphere getting some representation here!

You're right about sailing ships being small - I've been to Greenwich in London and toured the Cutty Sark clipper which is displayed there - as I'd built the Airfix model version I had to go see the real thing!

Equally as amazing are the ocean going canoes called Waka that the Maori used to get here in NZ. Those puppies had to be paddled! I've always wanted to model a Maori Waka using truespace but the intricacies of the carving look to daunting!

My family bought us here on a ship in 1962 but that was a big liner - still, it probably just increases my interests in maritime things.

Yeah, those canoes. Beats me how they did it in those things! But they did. Tough boys.

I reckon a pic of a Maori canoe, (or a Maori anything for that matter), would be an ideal subject for a 3D model. A tiki maybe.

Lot of work, though.
