I saw Ultra Violet on TV and liked the extra dimensional storage they had like the weapons storage.
Here is a container with mysterious objects in it. The objects wouldn't normally fit in it.
The beam uses the glow transparency shader (used on the color panel) with the noise feature to make the swirls. The activated balls have another ball around them which also uses that shader.
Viewer defined art features (viewer assigns meaning):
- Items float
- Balls don't cast shadows
- Infinity symbol with fractal texture
- When activated one ball has a positive light and the other a negative light.
Here is the nearly finished picture. More wip making of stuff later. Comments and advice welcome.
TS 7.6 model side. Lightworks render.

Need to make the glow shader noise more apparent.
After reading my earlier post I am eagerly awaiting some JamesMC humor including the words "activated balls".

Changed the lighting a little and some textures. The darker table makes the beam's noise visible.
Global Environment light (HDRI), no shadows, with the TS standard kitchen HDRI. One infinite light (? parallel rays) with mapped shadows. The balls have lights and one is a negative intensity light.

Re: SMC 65 Container - Extra Dimensional Container
Now wip stuff. The lighting and texturing give this picture its look. The modeling is simple.
The case began as a rounded cube primitive. I resized it to have the shape I wanted, applied SDS, extracted the final mesh, and pointed edited to cut it in two. Then I Boolean subtracted copies of the beam object from the pieces.
The case has a plain color, one of the TS standard bump images, and wrapped woven anisotropic reflectance.

Re: SMC 65 Container - Extra Dimensional Container
I made the case greener. The infinity symbol in the beam is black now so the gold fractal can indicate that the other one is active.
Unless there are must do suggestions this will be my SMC entry.
Wip stuff:
The beam is a cylinder reshaped with the resize tool. The infinity symbol is a Boolean union of two reshaped toruses. I tried to use the text tool for the infinity symbol but I couldn't find a way to use non-keyboard symbols.

Always loved the old trueSpace interface for textures and shaders.
