The trueSpace Time Capsule

Post by Steinie »

I am finally done!
My challenge was to condense my 17 cd's of trueSpace "Stuff" down to one DVD. Comparing widget versions, what worked with what version, what was worth saving, words of wisdom, little tutorial videos by users, etc. I managed to reach my goal.

I am proud of the "Stuff" that is saved since it has allowed me to do creative projects through the years. Transforming my artistic methods from oils, dyes, pencils on canvas and poster board to electronic display instead.

The Caligari videos are still on separate CDs but everything else is on my Golden DVD. One master will be locked in a safe and one copy for general use. All 17 backup cd's will be destroyed.
This project sounded easy but took me countless hours to "get it right"

This DVD is my diamond which I will always admire.

I recommend making a backup copy of your DVD and storing it in a different place from the original.

Also make a copy of your master DVD once every 6 years or so since the average degradation of certain materials that make up a DVD lasts for about 8 years and then the chance is very big it becomes completely unusable. Just a heads up. :)

Then burn it on a bunch of CDs.

True....but I would need 17 of them....

10 IF X = 1 GOTO 20
20 X = X + 1
30 GOTO 10
40 PRINT "X is finally 17!"
