Stan's has been working with another version of VRay and getting great results. I'm not sure of his plans for the project.
The last VRay update that was sold with trueSpace had a serious glass bug. I would think someone moving on from trueSpace might part with the code.

3dvisualsdude (mark O Dwyer) wanted to sell his some time ago. He is not here now
but I think he is at Kaneva (a 3d virtual world). There, he is known as sum1thinking.
May be worth a shot; I doubt he sold it. But I believe he'd want to sell it at full price.
