hi pugman.
Yes, blender has a fluid simulation tool built in.
You create the fluid simulations in blender.
Then, you can import them into truespace with this plugin.
In addition, you can create multiple copies of one fluid sim,
position, rotate, and scale each one, and adjust the time
on the timeline, when each one starts to play. You can
also play each copy in reverse if you like.
In addition, you can load more than one fluid simulation into your scene.
So, you could have a water fountain sim, and a firehose sim,
both in the same scene.
The documentation I wrote is comprehensive. It tells you, step by step,
complete with screenshots, how to perform the tasks. It demonstrates
the workflow, creating a fluid sim in blender, saving the domain in blender
(required for proper transformation when loaded into truespace), then importing
and tuning (animation start frame for each sim) in truespace.
And, if you want to know how to build plugins, the source code is now
available. Note: the source code is my first serious attempt at a plugin,
so, it could have been done more cleanly. But, it is a solid working example
of plugin creation for WorkSpace.
Please ask if you have any questions!
