For anyone considering gettig the free Carrara 7 Pro software this mag is the best route. Not only the full program (and the reduced upgrade price now extended until November) but you also get a full set of materials, Mimic pro lip sync plug in and over 80 minutes of video tutoring not to mention a very good tutorial with support files and video.
There is also an 11 page Toy Story 3 special (one of three limited edition covers too!) as well as plenty of good articles, reviews of maya, 3DS Max and softimage.
Good read and there is more on the disc than the 3D Artist version. If I had known it was like this I would not have bought the 3D Artist mag just for the free software.

Same here. I bought the 3D Artist mag because the 3DWorld preview said non-pro version coming, 2 days before your first post here.
Be happy that I'm loyal Daz customer, so you guys can get your software for free.
All kidding aside, it appears to be a spectacular package of goodies and training.

Indeed. The giveaway was 3D World said they were offering Carrara worth $147 (or some similar amount) which didn't sound like the Pro version but it is and a better package than 3D Artist as the Lip Sync plug in is worth $99 alone. Video training is prett hard to find for Carrara too so I would choose 3D World if I were outside of the UK waiting. Of course, there is nearly a month between the two issues....so it depends how patient you are...
