How many textures can we have stored in a folder?
I use mostly the model side of 7.6. I ask because I import model texture from a video game. Thx, Leroy.

you mean in a library? in folder you can have lots. Never tried to import some huge number of items into any library.

Re: How many textures can we have stored in a folder?
TrueSpace's texture browser goes very slow if a folder contains a lot of textures or with large texture files.
This was a memory bug that has been present in all trueSpace versions I belive.
It has been fixed in tS7.61.
You open the texture browser when you left-clic the Get_Texture_Map button of your Material Editor.
But if you right-clic on that button, you will open the Microsoft file explorer, and this one has no limitation and is fast no matter how many texture you have in your folders.

Re: How many textures can we have stored in a folder?
I copied a folder into the texture folder and they all appear to display normally. I guess curiosity got me wondering if too many textures might crash TS, but all seems well. I have both 7.6 and 7.61. Thanks guys, Leroy.

Re: How many textures can we have stored in a folder?
What I realized was that TS had some issues with locating textures when some models were being loaded as it apparently involved an old installation I had on another system, i.e., copying old library folders to my new installation. The solution was made in part by copying those textures into another folder under the default TS textures folder. Sadly, TS would crash at times when attempting to locate the missing textures before I copied them to correct the old issue.
Question: Are textures handled differently between model and work space side?
