The title says it - how is it possible to put a texture precisly onto a nurbs model? Well, apply the texture is not the question, but tS means "unsupportet type" if i open the UV Editor and paint per face ist also impossible with a nurbs object.
How can i do that?
BTW. The search function for this forum is stupid. Whatever i enter just the first word is used. I.e. if i type in "texture nurbs" the function means searched for: 'texture' ignored: 'nurbs'. I tried with a + and also with a AND and also by typing the words simple in the form. Any trick?

Re: Texturing nurbs - how?
dont want to make the object and then convert into polyhedron? do you really need to keep it as nurb? i think that will be a problem to texture nurb.

Yes i need is as nurb. Well, planar uv mapping is possible so far but i can just simple put the texture in position and scale it. Hmmm....sad.

Re: Texturing nurbs - how?
Seams, such as from blend, stitch or scissor can be used to break up the default UV mappings/ textures.
It's not easy... but it can be done: NURBS sail.
It can be a bitch. Save the object first and @ each step. Easy to mess it up.
Only default UV mapping types allowed, nothing fancy.
Good luck!
