How to simulate LB+RB in truespace

Post by splinters »

OK, so I got a Macbook Pro, running trueSpace in bootcamp on an i7, Radeon 6770M and 16GB ram...its lovely... :worship:

Wifey just bought me a Magic Mouse which is equally lovely...except in Windows it cannot accept L+R button clicks as it technically only has one button. Everything else is fine but I often scale my objects using the L+R mouse option for proportional scaling.
Is there an alterntive way of doing this? Dont think there is anything else I need that combo for.
Still exploring possible utilities to run on Windows 7; works fine in OSX.

That just allows a marquee to be dragged i.e to select multiple object. I hope there is a solution. Love the mouse but I need this function...

Two-button click

Magic Mouse functions as a two-button mouse when you enable Secondary Click in System Preferences. Left-handed users can reassign left and right click, as well.

If all else fails, Workspace's Object Widget uses the RMB to scale proportionaly.

Have you tried going into control panel>hardware and sound>mouse? Does the OS recognize your mouse? If it does then maybe you can configure it in the options section.

Nice thought.
Still no joy, The widget works the same say; needs both mouse buttons for proportional scale.
Its not the end of the world, just means plugging in another mouse for tS. Shame as the magic mouse is excellent otherwise and I would rather not have two mice...

Never did solve this one...short of manually typing the same number into the scale coordinate box....easier just to plug in another mouse....shame though.

Update to scale proportional when drag on the center. Be warned, these widgets don't undo, but you can give it a try and see if it works for you.

Cheer Clintonman, that widget works a treat but the lack of undo is a little worrying and I rarely work in DX mode with 2d widgets on. Still think it might be safer to use a different mouse.
