I attempted, several times, an extremely simple animation in workspace. Thought I was following instructions but am not getting any where. I am just trying to move a object on the x axis through another object in its path. I have selected the object that is supposed to move. Made sure the frame was ay 0.00. Hit the record keyframe. Then moved the object to a point just beyond the target. Set the marker to 30 and clicked on record key frame again.
When I use the controls to move to the beginning the red line returns to 00 but the object remains were it was at 30. When I press play the red bar moves but the object does nothing.
Can anyone give me an idea what simple step I am omitting?

You have to set the time first then move your object and set the key. So you set time to 0 put the object where you want it then set a key. Set time to 30 put your object where you want it then set the key....
