Re: ESC-1 Tactical Assault Rifle
Looks cool! How much does one of those cost? Where's my jar of coins? Maybe there's enough in there. One problem, maybe ... trigger hand on the grip but where does the other hand go? The base of the bipod and some other stuff is where the other hand would go.

Re: ESC-1 Tactical Assault Rifle
Thanks Finis. It would cost nothing since it made by a magical secret organization that for some reason doesn't have to worry about money.
As for the second hand, I suppose that instead of the bi-pod you could put on a front grip on the rail. Otherwise you could use the magazine cover as a sort front grip. You even see people in real life holding guns by the magazine sometimes, makes reloading faster I guess.
This gun has a magazine cover though since it needs to be zombie proof.

Re: ESC-1 Tactical Assault Rifle
To me that rifle suits more a sniper rifle.
Assault riffles don't really use the bipod system.
Support machine guns use a drum and hand grip.

Pssst, you didn't hear this from me but...
I reused the bipod from an older sniper rifle model I once built...

Seems like the Unreal Development Kit is very trueSpace friendly. Thanks to Clintonman, you rock!

Awesome stuff MikomDude!!!
Do you have a web site with a collection of images like this to look at? Would like to see more hardware designs like this, especially the military variety

Nice guns, would like to see'em shoot
Seriously though, what are the two strips you have by your guns (I thought they were swords, but I wasn't sure). I know the black thing is the Berkut S-37 concept that was never adopted by the Russians.

@Theuns
Thanks! I do have my website though it's not 100% up to date. I also don't have a lot of military stuff for you to look at I'm afraid. Rest assured though that with this project completed I'll have plenty of the kind to show.
For now though, I'm working on another half fictional design. Here is a WIP. About 4 hours into modeling.
@Unavailableartist
Yeah that's a sword and sheath. It's still a work in progress, and also slightly out of proportion.
And you're right about the model-aircraft, it's a Sukhoi Su-47 I made for some low-poly practice a while back.

Re: ESC-1 Tactical Assault Rifle

Here is another work-in-progress weapon. Based on the FN FAL.

Re: ESC-1 Tactical Assault Rifle
It also looks like the H&K G36E... Nice work. I actually used to be interested in assault rifles a while back in "modern warfare" age. The first the thing that came tomy mind was the XM8
but it turns out I was remembering the rifle it was based off of.
Do you do animations like of them shooting?

Re: ESC-1 Tactical Assault Rifle + FAL Mk5
Are you referring to the FAL or to the first pic of the ESC-1? I'm confused since there is also a G36k in one of the pictures I posted in this thread.Unavailableartist wrote:It also looks like the H&K G36E...
I always liked the futuristic design of the XM8, it has been over-used a lot though in video games. I've never played Modern Warfare, or any Call of Duty game for that matter. I'm more of an ArmA person myself.
As for the FAL mk5 design I made, it's really just a mock-up of several FAL variants. This particular configuration does not exist.
Not at the moment. But all of these are for a bigger project, so animation will become involved later on.Unavailableartist wrote:Do you do animations like of them shooting?

Re: ESC-1 Tactical Assault Rifle
Yea I saw your last model, and immidiately started looking it up and came across the FAL MK5 currently being manufactured for and used in Brazil. And it most definatly looks more like a FAL than any H&K gun... However I think there is a slight resemblence to G36E.
.- it's like a g36K but I looks like it has a longer barrel.
I actually played Battlefield:Bad-company both 1 and 2 for a while. I actually don't play too many war games, but I really liked bad company.-I think military can be pretty In a spartan kind o way.
I look forward to seeing the rest of your project

Oh yes UDK and Clintonman's plugin go together like a house on fire. Rmember using it for college work once.
Got to say the gun looks sweet sat inside Unreal. Great work!
